When God is Silent?

When God is Silent!

Written by Edet Crownofglory Patience

I was told a story of a Woman of God who was serving God passionately while being single.

When she prayed about her marital life; she told God she wants her husband to be a pilot. God told her He wants her to marry a Man of God

so she would assist him in the ministry, and jointly they will serve Him.

However, she told God that she has served Him enough and wouldn’t want to serve Him as a Pastor’s wife, that she prefers to marry a pilot.

She prayed for long that God should change His mind but God was SILENT.

The devil then sneaked in, using The Silent Period as an opportunity to manipulate. He benevolently gave her her supposed ‘Ideal Man’.

With joy in her heart, she got married. However, the story changed to a bitter one.

The supposed “Ideal Man” turned her to a punching bag, he continually decorated her body with different scar, she went through a whole lot in his house.

Eventually, she packed out of the house when she was tired of being used as a training bag.

She decided not to remarry and began to seek God’s face for mercy.

After what seemed like a while, God met with the man; he gave his life to Jesus. Then, God told him to resign from being a pilot and go into full time ministry.

The pastor that was to ordain him asked about his marital life, and he narrated everything to him. The pastor told him that the only clause is that he must look for his wife and reconcile with her before he could be ordained.

He searched and searched for his wife all to no avail. Eventually, God took control; he found his wife and they remarried.

What was the outcome?

She eventually married a Man of God which she ran away from.

Wow! I reference God.

God is never mocked!

When God tells you to do something, there is a reason for it. He sees beyond us. Besides, He created us into the perfect image which He knows will sooth us.

You don’t dictate to God.

He is an All knowing God!

There are consequences for going against God’s Will.

Ezekiel 14:4 (KJV): “Therefore speak unto them, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Every man of the house of Israel that setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet; I the LORD will answer him that cometh according to the multitude of his idols;”

Permissive will is telling God to mind His business and allow you to do whatever you like with your life especially in marriage.

When God Is Silent, He Is Giving You Room To Change Your Mind And The Devil Will Not Take The Opportunity Lightly.

Dearly Beloved, it is better you painfully do the will of God than happily do your will, because there are rewards and consequences for both actions.

Permissive Will comes with adverse effect that affects and changes lives negatively.

Please Desist From Doing It, Rather Plead , Seek And Ask For The Grace To Do His Will.
